Tamales With La Borinqueña Mex-icatessen, Llano Seco Rancho and Queso Salazar
Three family food crafters come together to focus their collective talents in the form of the perfect tamale. With generations of practice behind La Borinqueña Mex-icatessen’s fresh corn masa, Llano Seco Rancho’s organic, humanely-raised pork and Queso Salazar’s traditional queso fresco, it’s a tour de force in tastiness.

We'll have two delicious varieties of tamales available including:
  • Organic Llano Seco Rancho Pork with red chile

  • Queso Salazar's Queso Fresco with fire roasted Anaheim green chiles (vegetarian)

As a third generation Tamale Girl, I'm excited to be collaborating with two family owned companies for this event. All three companies have a legacy going back decades!

    66 + 55 + 149 = 270

Collectively, that is how many years La Borinqueña, Queso Salazar & Llano Seco Rancho families have been creating our foodstuffs! Click on the links to read more about our indie business histories. I'm proud to be keeping such company and you will taste the love and care in these awesome tamales.

Stop by say hola, get a tamale and meet Chayito, La Borinqueña's main tamale assembler. She and I will also be hosting Make your own Tamales at the DIY Foods workshop, Saturday 8/28 at 1pm.

See more photos on La Borinqueña's Facebook page here.
